I use GodMode on my W7 system and decided to give it a try on W8.
It gives immediate access to a large number of tweaks and hidden settings.
I have not tested them all so use with care and have back-up in case of differences encountered between 8 & 7.
to use create a folder on the desktop name it

the folder icon will change to that of a control panel.
Just open it and you have access to over a hundred hidden settings.
