On my systems it seems this update, related to telemetry has a problem with some file with a .json extension. Running Dism to Restore the Health did not help for me so I uninstalled the update.

I am thinking this is one optional update put out to allow the upgrade to Windows 10?

on a clean install of just Windows 8.1 with all updates, to date, SFC pulls many mismatched file hashes..

Well, ... I only got the one error on my three systems...

I will normally try to track down what is causing the problem. For clean installs, it is normally the Canon Printer file which can be repaired with the DSIM command. The file in the update does not seem to respond to a repair operation.

Maybe you could use the command below and post your text file so we can check yours.

I ran sfc a few weeks ago and it was clean, as was DISM. Just ran it now (KB3022345 was installed 5/10/2015)

Ztruker, that is pretty much what my two systems did. I ended up uninstalling the update and the file was removed so SFC finished normally. Since it is an optional update, I assume that is OK.

I did uninstall it as I mentioned in the first post. It seems quite a few folks are having problems with this update. The file mentioned is not currently on my Windows 8.1 systems, as far as I can tell, until after the update install.

Maybe they will fix it, but I have decided to not accept any optional updates for a while.

This update https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3022345 became a recommended update, as i never installed it as an optional, after doing important and recommended updates on Tues. April 12 i have it now.

I had 17 optional updates i never did then on last tues. they disappeared that explained it.

Always had Diag Tracking service, but it was set to manual, after installed update was set to automatic as Support info on this update shows. I changed it back to manual, no errors or issues, been questioning this one in other posts here.

You are right, after posting here, i to ran SFC showed files could not be repaired and used DISM did not work either, saw those files mentioned in CBS log. DISM in command prompt told me to go here https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh825020.aspx something about using source file, lost here anyway

So i uninstalled the update, reran SFC no integrity violations, DISM worked fine also.

MS needs to fix this!

Kudos to this thread because I was completely baffled as to how the same two files got corrupted twice and scratching my head, since the only changes were installed games and, the optional update I installed. It's not just me on the upside but now, unfortunately I get to run scans on my 8.1 laptop as well. Good job breaking it, Windows, you don't get the good confetti and the cake is all gone.

I found i had to run SFC more then once along with DISM and reboot few times to finally get rid of corrupted files SFC could not fix.
Realized after i thought i resolved it by removing update and rerunning SFC and DISM. Few days later they came back again with same corrupt files in CBS.log.

I had an identical experience with my 2 PC's. Thought everything was clean and a couple days later with no changes the corruptions were back. Thought WTF! Actually just recently reinstalled KB3022345 on my Desktop and have not detected any issues for a while now so maybe the latest version of KB3022345 is OK.

And now I see 8 more Optional Updates. This is crazy!

Rather keep it off for now, check installed updates see if shows date for that particular update, believe was April 29 and i do not think there was a newer one made. Yes just about every Tuesday there are updates, had 10 optional and i read all about them, i will still hold off on those. Sometimes have to run it several times to fix corrupt files with SFC then reboot after each, also using DISM.
Make restore points if going to do any updates in future !!

The orig one issued in Apr that caused the SFC problem has a version 2 issued 5/6/15. However, it recommends NOT installing it over the orig, so uninstall, download the new version and install the updated version. info here - https://support.microsoft.com/en-za/kb/3022345

[h=1]Third time's a charm? Microsoft releases third version of Windows patch KB 3022345[/h]A few eagle-eyed patchers took the beast apart and discovered the patch is … wait for it … a usage tracker.
Retracing the patch's history, on April 21 Microsoft released KB 3022345 -- an "update to enable the Diagnostics Tracking Service in Windows 8.1 and Windows Server 2012 R2." The next day many reports began to appear that the installer failed with error 800F0922. On May 5 Microsoft re-released the patch, changing its title to "Update to enable the Diagnostics Tracking Service in Windows." Apparently that second version was directed at Windows 7 (at least it appears, dated May 5, on my Windows 7 PCs). On May 6 Microsoft re-re-released the patch, this time with hints that version 3 is intended for Windows 8.1 (it appears, dated May 6, on my Windows 8.1 PCs).
To date, the only information we have about the patch is the summary in version 2 of the KB article:
This update enables the Diagnostics Tracking Service in Windows 8.1, Windows Server 2012 R2, Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (SP1), and Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1. This tracking service collects data about functional issues in Windows.

Just set it to manual in Services.msc solves one issue
