Occasional system slowdown with 50/100% disk activity

Hello everyone. This is my first new thread in a long time. I've had one problem ever since I had bought this laptop which was about 2.5 years ago. The disk activity in the task manager occasionally rises to about 50% at random times, and especially at boot. I would understand this happening while booting, but not after all of that has past. I think the disk usage is 50% instead of 100% because there is a 16GB SSD as a second drive that I think is used for "caching." I'm not sure what this caching is, but it was included with the Lenovo laptop. The System process is usually the one that uses most of the disk.



I have already tried scanning for viruses and any harmful programs. I have removed a lot of unwanted bloatware. I've done disk cleanups and disk defrags. I've always had the laptop's power plan set to high performance, and have made sure everything is up to date.

Since I try solving things myself sometimes, I had seen what might look wrong in the Virtual Memory menu in the advanced system settings. Wouldn't you think this doesn't look right at the bottom where the numbers are?
