Solved DISM says "component store is repairable"
Hi guys, I recently did a routine maintenance of my computer and after running
Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth command, it
reported that the component store is repairable . Then, I immediately followed it up with
sfc /scannow and it
reported no integrity violations . I was just wondering should I run
Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth command and attempt a repair or just leave it be? Btw, I
did not install the botched update, KB2919355. Thanks

Thanks. I would just like to ask, what are the causes of component store corruption?

There's a number of things that could cause component store corruption.
Anything from bad sectors on the disk, user error, etc.. Basically anything that can cause file corruption.

I tried using the
/Scanhealth command and it said there was no component store corruption detected. I followed it up with another
/CheckHealth command and it reported the same result. I guess the
/CheckHealth command just hanged earlier for some reason and generated an outdated report, when it said that the component store is repairable. Anyway, glad my PC is trouble-free again. Thanks
