Ya know - I didn't handsome frog about Vista.
A whole lotta people had a whole lotta complaints, but I held my tongue and worked through it and it turned out (fairly quickly) to be a fine OS.
I am, however, fairly goddamned disgusted with Windows 8.
I am trying to be patient , but I've gotten more errors and crashes in 6 months than I had in 6 years on Vista (I tragically skipped 7 entirely).
Maybe Microsoft should stop trying to copy Apple and just stick to what they know best; and what their customers really want in a computer - simple, solid & straightforward "folder-based computing".
Have all the bells, whistles & apps you want on your various devices for the kids - they are your market. But still make a basic desktop OS that actually ****ing works cleanly and don't goddamn crash every time you add a few hundred media files (old people still buy computers and we can remember more than 8 songs at a time).
And while we're on the subject of Media Player - how's about we stop it crashing every time I pause a media file?
While I do love trying to remember the exact moment my file crashed, it would probably be more convenient if I could actually watch them through to the end....just sayin' ;-)
All that being said - **** Macs - Windows Rules !!!!
