System restore question

I did a system restore to put my laptop back to the point before I downloaded iobit driver booster, when it was all done my laptop was extremely laggy. I had to restart my laptop to fix the problem. What would make my laptop act like that after doing a system restore?

You should always restart after doing a system restore ,my opinion anyway

If you did this using a Restore Point, you need to understand that is not like using a Time Machine to reset your machine to a previous date. All this does is set the Operating System back to a former date, and it does that by overwriting current System Files and settings with those last saved prior to the date you chose. Data files remain unchanged from the "restore".

It is required to restart the computer following a system restore. A system restore will likely involve replacement of system files and this cannot occur while the OS is running but must be deferred until startup. A system restore is not complete without a restart. Until the restart the system is in an inconsistent state and it should not be surprising that there are issues.
