Ever since I upgraded to 8.1 a couple months ago my system would become slow and choppy. Like even just moving windows around the screen you could feel the choppiness. I feel a laggy response when clicking things. It gets to the point where I have to restart my computer once a day to get rid of the choppiness. After a fresh restart, everything is nice and smooth but that doesn't last long.
This never happened before I updated to 8.1. I would be able to leave my system up for weeks without having to restart. Now within 24 hours my system feels like its bogged down and choppy like it's on Windows 95 or something. Anyone experience something similar?
I don't even have many things open. My CPU usage right now is at 30% and memory at 28%.
Specs:
i5-4670
GeForce GTX 770
16gb DDR3 SDRAM
windows installed on 128gb SSD
Update: I think I've found the issue. My system has been on for 2 days straight without getting showing any sluggish symptoms after disabling a program called DisplayFusion which I used to cycle wallpapers on my different screens. Hopefully this is it and I don't have to worry about it anymore! Thanks for everyone's suggestions and help!
