Hi everyone,

I have windows 8.1 professional version x64, upgraded from windows 8, and I made the setup one year ago, when I got this computer, but now slowly, this system turn to be slow when I open my session, and since a few days very slow, like I have to wait at least 5 minutes, can I work on the computer.

But this time with 8, I don't know much what to do, ok I know some process, but I am confuse that, if I do an image of my system and then setup again, it will be like a new system but old system contents ? or it is waste of time, and now way, backup my data and then setup again, waste time with windows update, upgrade to 8.1.

Because lot of files I have they are for my activities, so if maybe have a application can backup that than like copy and paste, I am open for suggestion.

Thanks a lot for your helps

Yes, as I suspected the system is infected and there are many Startup Items on the list. >ou can safely disable anything but your AV via MSconfig that should somewhat speed up your system. But, you primarily should chech for some other malware that could be present on your system. Run scans with Hitman Pro and with adwCleaner.

I would back them up manually so there's no chance anything but those files get transferred. Do just pure data backup, pictures, music, films, text, docs etc, just the ones that can't be easily infected. That Bitcoin Miner is pretty nasty thing and difficult to get rid of. It uses your system to earn Bitcoin money for others. It can pick a lot of your data and personal information too. Once you transfer all of that on another media, check that too before connecting to clean system as well as any other media you were connecting till now. My I suggest you download and install MCShield ::Anti-Malware Tool:: if you are using any USB storage media to help prevent further infestation.

looks like you pretty well infected, You probably will have to do a clean install. once that is done put some serious Virus Malware protection on and when you are warned don't click that link

Hi Clintlgm, thanks for your reply, do you know any application to backup the data like my docs, my pics.... because if am right windows 8 doesn't have that now
I would back them up manually so there's no chance anything but those files get transferred.

Hi Countmike,

Thanks for your reply and your suggestions, I tought to do like so in old way copy/paste, but I hoped to avoid that to be more convinient and fast, so I will do in old fashion ways ;)
