Hey what programs should I run? I used Registry Mechanic and CC Cleaner on Windows they recommended it. Very good.

I don't have time to call them. Also spyware anything that slows down computer.

Microsoft, they recommended those two. I've got to call them, one drive isn't working and I need to activate.

The reason I asked is because I think they are changing the architecture of the desktop, they're thinking long term.

The only thing I hate about Windows is it requires so much maintenance. Last time I had to call them word wasn't working right for notes, and my registry was damaged.

Macs get viruses much more commonly than people think but no spyware issues and the whole thing is very forgiving. I think Windows will be better when they transition. 8.1 is a little better than the current osx but I've forgotten how much time you have to waste if you want your computer to run.

I hear ya. We are all waiting for Windows 9 RTM expected April or July of next year. No system is virus proof if your not careful, doesn't matter which platform whether it be Pc or Mac.
BTW I would stay away from Registry Mechanic, the registry cleaner is a bit too aggressive for the casual user.

Cool I will check that out.

Am I a casual user because I have a Mac? I used it in the past and that's the only way I could keep 7 so long.

I'm using it for more stuff, actually commands are necessary now, I like it better now that I've figured that out.

Operating systems for different functions seems the way to do it. And I'm huge on music so I just use Mac to back everything up.

I believe Windows will finally be able to copy time machine, not the bush league backup 7 had.

My bad dude, I used Windows 7 until the end. And I had to choose between 8 and Mac, and Mac I went with that.

I use sudo commands on mac, I'm not the best but I'm not illiterate, which they aren't much but I figured I'm not what you think I am.

8.1 is really good and there are so many gestures without touchscreen I don't know there's a lot of changes right now. A lot of people will be very annoyed I think.
