can't find my recovery disk drive d:

After refreshing my windows 8, i noticed that my second drive i.e recovery disk (D: winretools) is no longer visible in my computer. Please any idea on what could be the problem and any possible solution to it? My laptop model is Dell inspiron 15R

it is probably marked hidden (No letter assigned to it). For recovery partition, it is normal. Try to run Disk Management and post a screen shot.
Since it is a recovery partition, you might not be able to assign a drive letter to it from Disk Management but you can use diskpart to assign a letter. However, it's better to let it be hidden.

Please how can i use the diskpart or unhide it, cos i saved some files in the drive and i need to retrive those files.. Any idea please?

run Diskmanagement: Win+X->Disk Management then
