Which programs can I disable to make my startup faster?

I just got a new Lenovo laptop and I'm trying to have everything run smooth but my startup is still pretty slow. These are the programs I have running at startup and I was wondering which ones I could disable without affecting my laptop's performance:

AcroTray
Adobe Collaboration Synchronizer
Abode Reader and Acrobat Manager
Adobe Updater Startup Utility
Apple Photostreams Uploader Executable
Apple Push
Conexant High Definition Audio Filter Agent
CyberLink YouCam Tray
Dolby Profile Selector
HP Digital Imaging Monitor
hpwuSchnd Application
iCloud
iTunes Helper
Java Update Scheduler
Lenovo Battery Management Software
MUI StartMenu Application
Power Manager Startup Utility
PowerDVD 14
Quiktime Task
SmartAudio CPL
Synaptics TouchPad Enhancements
VM331 StiMnt
YouCam Mirage

Thanks!

Hi cas4077, Welcome to Windows EightForums! :)

At a glance, I would guess almost all of them;
however, it all depends on which programs you need to be poised for readiness when you sit down to your machine as opposed to bearing the fresh loading of an application when called upon.

I would keep only

Lenovo Battery Management Software
Power Manager Startup Utility
Synaptics TouchPad Enhancements
If you disable anything you feel you need , you can always enable it again.

You don't need iTunes Helper, unless you need iTunes to start loading when you connect your phone.

When I had XP, I deleted Quiktime Task. I NEVER wanted it to run. And, I never experienced any problems.

Hello

You should be very sure about which services and processes you are disabling, however you could disable most things you installed yourself safely without any consequences.

A good way to determine which processes are taking up alot of boot performance is XPerf. However that is quite complicated, check out this guide: Increasing Boot Performance

I would disable everything except for an Antivirus. If I need to run a program, I start it up manually. I don't like programs sitting doing nothing wasting memory. Unless there is a program you use every time, I would disable them all for the best performance.

If you really want to see everything that is starting up when your computer boots, many people swear by this long-trusted, free, app that doesn't even need to be installed - just download it and run it - it's hosted by Microsoft and was originally developed by a MS tech - Autoruns for Windows

For questions on what to disable, you can reference these two sites : Should I Remove It? (you don't need to download the app, just use the database to search the programs you have questions about)

And for services, which many of them are useless and resource hogging in a home environment, go here:
