Solved Windows 8 Maintenance Always Needs to Run?

Hello, i'm using Windows 8 Home Premium 64 Bit.

The issue is, whenever I open the Action Center, Windows 8 Automatic Maintenance always says it needs to run. I run it, then it just keeps saying that it needs to run. It is scheduled to run automatically when the computer is on idle I thought, but it seems to want to run maintenance constantly. I've been dealing with this for a few weeks now and would like it fixed. Thanks.

Here is the full message in the action center:

"Automatic Maintenance was delayed. Maintenance Tasks will run at the next scheduled time, or you can start maintenance now."

When I tell it to run maintenance now, it runs but the message never goes away after its finished, it just wants me to keep running it.

I'm getting the same notification in my "Action Center" also...???? Checking with other sites confirms its a "Windows 8" quark...! I'm with Nucii - disable Action Center Messages...

I'm going to look into a solution and see if I can fix it myself. Meanwhile, if anyone else has a breakthrough post it here please. I prefer leaving all my Action Center messages turned on.

Okay...Heres something strange. First thing I found is that my Disk Defragmenter will not open. Windows Maintenance uses that right? So this could be the issue.

SFC /Scannow found no integrity violations. I actually was in the middle of trying that when you made the post. I also used a program to repair all system component files signed by Microsoft. Still the defragger will not open. I will go try a chkdsk /f now.

My Disk Defrag is working on all drives. I doubt this has anything to do with this particular problem but poking around in the "Event Viewer" (TaskScheduler/Maintenance) I'm getting a Warning that states, Maintenance Task "\Microsoft\Windows\RemovalTools\MRT_HB" is behind deadline....... Event ID: 805..... Wondering if people with Windows 8.1 are having this problem also or just Windows 8....? I really do want to upgrade to 8.1 but a little skittish of something going wrong and/or finding compatible drivers for my ASUS G750JX...?

Okay, it seems this problem has stopped. After running a tool that fixes all system components, the maintenance notification finally goes away. Solved! Sadly, the defrag tool still won't open.
