hi Everyone,
so I'm on 8.1 and just like previously on 7 and XP and before that, using ramdisk's
currently I have MSI laptop with 16GB or RAM so for past two months I've been using three separate ramdisk mounted with softperfect ramdisk, one of them for temp files which has no image saving and the other two are saving image every 30 minutes and on shutdown then restore on boot.
everything is working smoothly and perfectly the entire time, on one of the "permanent" ramdisk's I installed Opera and it also uses the same ramdisk for caching and user files(command line switch), second has a few disk intensive and small apps that are mostly running the entire time windows is running.
I want more!!!
so I'm hoping to make one more "permanent" ramdisk and move all the %appdata% folders to it and somehow make windows use those new folders in ramdisk from now on, this ramdisk would also have it's image saved to SSD like the other ones every 30 minutes or so and would reload on boot, could someone give me an idea how this could be done? would I be able to do it with linking/junction? I've never used those before... how would that work?
