Ntoskrnl.exe running CPU to 95%+ usage on system resume

When my computer (Win 8.1) wakes up from hibernation, the ntoskrnl.exe process runs off the charts and the fan kicks into high gear and doesn't stop until I reboot. Then it is fine. Have others experienced difficulty with this? I'm really hoping it gets addressed in the next update.

If you look here Sysinternals forums it seems often to be due to driver problems. If you could gather the data requested and post a link to it here (or on their site I suppose) we can have a look and see which one.

Install the WPT , open a CMD prompt with admin rights and type this (Stop ProcessExplorer first!):

xperf -on latency -stackwalk profile -buffersize 1024 -MaxFile 512 -FileMode Circular && timeout -1 && xperf -d highCPUUsage.etl

after you captured a minimum of 30s of the cpu usage, go back to CMD prompt and press a key to stop the logging. Now compress the highCPUUsage.etl as 7z (LZMA2, ULTRA) to reduce the size. Upload this file to your SkyDrive or Dropbox and post a link
