After numerous Windows 8 installations going back and forth between 7 and 8 I've finally decided to stay with Windows 8.1 Pro (x86). It feels lighter on the resources and even the gaming performance seems to have increased in relation to Windows 7 Ultimate.
It seems to me like W8.1 is a lot lighter on its feet than its predecessor despite all the hype about the new Metro UI. Once I got used to it, it became a more modern/practical OS to me, and above all significantly lighter/faster than Windows 7 Ultimate (x86).
Is this supported by facts? Is anyone feeling the same way?
Thx in advance!
