shrinking lenovo drive

hello
seems like i'm running out of space on drive C -i have only 17 GB free-
LENOVO drive (D) is 25 GB , only 3 GB is used of it
can i shrink about 15 GB of it and then add it to the C drive ?
and will it affect anything ?

Can you post the screen print of disk management?

I expect you have more than 25GB hard drive - this is probably the recovery drive.

But yes you can - I have Lenovo and I deleted all of it and did a clean install. I think though if you have 500GB hard drive you'd be better off leaving the recovery and using https://windirstat.info/ to find something else to delete.

You never know a recovery drive might be useful later on.

You can not use D: or G:, to extend C:, you would need to delete F: before extending C:.

You only have one drive. It is up to you what you want to do with the data (non boot) partitions. Your best bet is not to try to second guess the IO subsystem unless you are really sure what your are doing. You will probably make it slower by doing so. The only sensible reason to do so is for backup or to run a separate OS.

58 GB is not big for a Windows drive. Why don't you merge C, blah, Huh, Lenovo and the unallocated space? (Good names by the way). Just make backup first.

Not exactly true. There are plenty of solutions that let you move partitions around.

As the OP has made partitions in DM, I am only talking about using DM.

i intended to merge blah and huh
but i don't want to miss with the lenovo drive as i'm bit confused about it
some people said it has a back up and others said no :|
any way i'll try merging them together with the unallocated space after shrinking huh and adding some space to c

In English this means you need to use another tool not the Windows disk management utility to do what you want
