Hi everybody,
I've executed sfc /VERIFYNOW on my Windows 8 64-bit installation because Explorer.exe used to crash soon (now it doesn't crashes anymore, but I wanted to be sure...) and I found a 28 MB (I give you the dimensions just to tell you how many libraries are corrupted on my system) of log when the procedure had finished.
Now I'd like to repair these libraries, I heard about sfc /SCANNOW, but I'm not sure if it is a good idea to execute it. sfc /VERIFYNOW had occupied 700 MB of space in my little 83,3GB SSD and I'm not able to delete the files it had created. Is it a good idea to execute it or not?
I've got another problem: when I perform a disk cleanup (with the Windows 8 tool), it seems to not delete anything! It tells me that it can delete 4/5 GB of things and, after the procedure, I'm not able to notice any changement in the disk free space (even if I reboot my PC), but if I execute the cleanup again (after I rebooted), it says that it can make 73,3 KB of free space...
I'm a bit confused
What can I do?
Thanks a lot and sorry for my bad English.
