Solved Memory Test proplem

I received an error that there was a memory error. There is charm that says " MEMORY TEST".

l clicked on the "Charm" & a blue screen with white lettering popped up. It had instruction that the test wood take
some time. It also said it would "automatically" Restart Rhys computer & list the results.

On the right, lower corner of the screen it says if you press "esc" it will exit. It RAN for Hours !!!

I tried "Everything to stop Lt! ANY HELP OUT THER FOR A SOLUTION?

Yes, I have a total of 5, including SurfaceRT.

Can't boot without going into the mem test program!

Problem is, it is may MAIN computer. IT is a costly paper weight now!

Will I have to reload every thing! UGH!

I hope you made some backups of your files.

Reinstalling is a pain in the neck. :(

Try removing all but 2 of your memory sticks, if you only have 2 then remove 1 of them

Disconnect all USB devices especially ext harddrives.

then try to reboot.

Problem Solved

I READ THE MANUAL!!!

All I had to do is reset the CMOS by switching a cap on 3 pins on the Motherboard!

It resets BIOS to the default settings. Taking battery out doesn't always clear CMOS memory for the BIOS.
