    My WEI for win 7 is 5.9, but with win 8, is 5.8, but this is down to my hard drive.

    You're not going to get a score greater than 5.9 with conventional (i.e. mechanical) HDDs. Like Windows 7, to gain a score greater than 5.9, you will need to use an SSD.
