Applications start faster from Metro IU than from IE

I have noticed that applications that are launched from the Metro IU load and run much faster than the same applications launched from IE under desktop. Anyone else noticed this? I have even created Metro tiles for applications I normally run as they load and run much faster than launching them from the desktop. This site (Windows Eight Forms) would not load from desktop IE but loads immediately from a Metro tile I created.

A webpage is not the same as app. Apps or Applications are computer softwares installed on your local harddrive which makes it faster to access and open up. An app may load up instantly but information on it may not be updated immediately. A webpage (accessed via IE or Chrome or Firefox, etc.) is a hypertext document (not application) that you access via the world wide web. Depending on your internet speed, activities and location, a webpage loading time will vary. And sometimes your internet security software worsen the webpage load up speed/time or sometimes block a website and don't open it at all.

Sorry for the confusion. I did mean web pages. An example of what I mean is accessing this form. I tried accessing it thru IE from the desktop. IE just hung with the message that if was waiting for the site. I then went back to the Metro IU, with the IE desktop program running in the background, and clicked on a Metro tile I created pointing to the forum. The forum web page loaded immediately. I went back to the IE desktop and the web page was still in a wait state. I have the same problem when I try to access www.outlook.com from the desktop. Like I said, when I experience slow response times ion web pages from the desktop IE I create a Metro tile and that seems to fix the slow load times.

Do you close/exit your tile afterwards or do you leave it running in the background?
