cpu at 100% non stop _literally_

hello,

first of all, i'm a long time lurker visiting this website often for the tutorial section - thanks for all the info.

now to my issue, i noticed that my cpu is at 100% for no apparent reason. i took 2 screenshots the first one including all processes that are currently using the cpu.

what's wrong here?

Just a kind of guess but maybe you have some rogue shell extension installed that's causing Explorer to do too much work. Have you installed any low quality homemade programs that put themselves on the Explorer context menu or show fancy icons for their files?

actually no except i bought and installed start8 to get the start button back. do you think is is causing it?

Perhaps I'm seeing something wrong, but shouldn't your cpu be running at full speed if the cpu utilization is 100%? Seems like something is goofy somewhere.

Go into the Startup Tab, and see what is all running at the moment. If you feel that Start8 is the problem then disable in the Startup then do a restart to see if that is the problem. . .Good Luck.
