Good day, I am experiencing technical difficulties regarding my desktop regarding this "usbport.sys" spiking issue.
this occured somewhat last week.
I am sure that this is usbport.sys because when I disabled USB2.0 Controller from the BIOS, the problem went away but most of my ports are USB2.0 so I am in need of these ports.
My specs are
i5-2500K
6Gb DDR3-1333 Memory
Z68 extreme4 BIOS version 2.20A
1.5TB Seagate Sata3 (for backup and installers)
500GB Seagate (for additional backup)
WD 320GB (for system)
I notice those spiking are really annoying and most of the time, when I'm playing music, most of the time I hear that my music is crappy lol.
i used dcplat.exe to measure my latency and the highest latency was 68000.
I used latencymon and usbport.sys gives me the highest ISR to 12000 after a few seconds.
now, I downgraded to windows 7 but still, the problem persisted but then again, when I disable my USB 2.0 controller, the problem went away.
oh. before I forgot, the problem persisted EVEN there were no devices connected to each USB2.0port.
I am pretty sure that the problem only appeared last week. because I always monitor my CPU usage, CPU clocks, and temperature and if I am not doing anything, i just watch over those clock speeds and temperature. and also, CPU usage but then again, I know that people here are more knowledgeable than I do when it comes to more advanced troubleshooting so I ask you if you can give me any suggestions regarding this matter.
I hope this will be fixed soon. thanks in advance.
