Switching screens is driving me mad!

Is there any way at all to stop W8 from switching between IE and the desktop every time I move the mouse? It's driving me insane!!. Everytime you get within 4 inches of the sides/top/bottom of the screen the Charms bar appears, the time appears or it just switches you to the desktop from IE (and vice versa). There must be some way of disabling this really annoying thing.

Just a thought. Have you tried calibration of the screen?
