I just ran this on my windows 8 box for my backup solution
My question is, I have it setup to run daily. Will it overright/replace the backup image each day? Or always make a new image? Curious due to space contraints.

Also, I noticed I can not use File History back when using Windows 7 backup?

Hello gizbug,

File History is basically just the new version of the Previous Versions feature in Windows 7 but improved some now. It depends on what you set in File History -> Advanced Settings for how often it backs up and how long they are kept for.
At first, you couldn't use File History if you had the Windows Backup schedule turned on, but you should be able to use File History and Windows Backup at the same time now. Double check to make sure that you have all Windows Updates installed.

Hope this helps, :)
Shawn

I do have the all windows updates installed. Still shows that message. Weird.
Also, does the Windows 7 Backup function just overright the previous backup? Or does it keep making image files?

Yes, it does over-write previous images.
I create folders and nest mine. I keep one with a clean install, one with everything installed, and a current one.

Wenda.
