As the title says: do I need to install any defragmentation software or Windows 8 defragmentation tool will do the job just the way as any other payed/free defragmentation software will do?
Other then the actual defragmentation process I am not interested in any kind of extra features, that 3rd party defrag. software might suggest. So if there is any software that will do the defraging any better then the windows default tool will do, pleas decremented me one and if you may, just explain me shortly how it will do better then the default tool from windows ?
Thanks for your time.
Have a great day ;)

I think you should leave windows do its own defrag. I've seen others much smarter than I say never use a 3rd party defrag program as they all simply have their own opinion as to what is best and Windows 8 defrag is fine & will rearrange the layout back to its way and end ups with additional wear and tear and wasting energy. End up with a repeating neverending cycle of 3rd party way .. then windows way.

I would also just use the built in defrag. If you use a SSD hard drive, do not defrag at all and turn off the service.

I haven't manually defragged a computer in years.

wow guys ,, such an active community :) Thanks for all your response. So I guess I 'll stick to the default windows defraging tool. I actually turned off the automatic defragmentation, cuz I don't like stuff running on my system without me knowing , but I am running it manually fairly often.
-Yes sure I know that I do not need defragmentation for SSDs ) but I am still on HDD. So thank you for your advises, appreciate them a lot ;)
