For some reason my pc is going crazy with this Service Host. Between every 4 and 10 seconds it is hogging anything up to 40% ... Can you help me understand what is going on? Or if we need any other information to help me solve it?

Thanks for your time guys...

PC is running Intel E8400 @ 3.00GHz with 4GB or DDR 3 ram and 64-bit Operating System.

SVCHOST is every program or process that needs to read from or interact with .dll files. SVCHOST is a single go-to process for applications to work with dynamic-link libraries rather than have the code needed to do the work themselves.

Disable the Driver Foundation service for a test and see whether that helps.

Thanks for the replies. @JLyman, is there a reason that this .dll is using 30-40% or my pc's power every4-5 seconds? It makes watching videos very annoying....

@whs, how would I go about doing that and what testing software would I need to use?

Thank you both

Press WIN+R > type services.msc > OK > find driver foundation and right click on it > Properties > change Startup type to Disabled > close Services window.

Then run your system normally and see whether the problem went away. When it did NOT fix the problem, go back into Services and reset the Driver Foundation to the original setting (probably 'Automatic').

If there's an app that's running either in the foreground or background, sure.
