History question

  1. #11

I just checked now, a document saved yesterday does NOT show up in history.
I did NOT change anything since last week, so definitively history in my computer is messed up.
Also I noticed that I now see TWO copies of all documents, while last week I was seeing only ONE copy (according to my setup)
So what shall I do to have a reliable history backup?
    Thank you

I'm not quite sure why this is happening with your back ups. Maybe another member can provide some insight. If all fails there are quite a few good Back Up softwares, one of my favourites being ACRONIS True Image, works flawless and recommended by many.
Google it and give it a shot!

[Question] Windows 8.1 'File History'; '$OF' Folder
I decided to give W8.1's 'File History' a try because I'm tired of Acronis TIH orphaning incremental backups (I doubt it was fixed in 2014 edition). The problem is I have a folder '$OF' that has many files in it with the naming convention of: 4593 (2013_11_09 21_33_36 UTC).mp3 -Of course each...

Question on Indexing, Libraries, and File History
1. How to I reset Indexing Options to the default values? 2. Are all libraries indexed by default, or just the "default" libraries? 3. I was considering creating libraries for some of my disk drives in order to have everything in file history. Good idea or bad idea? Would that result...

File History Question: Restore from HD crash

Win File History
I was told that this feature can cause. It appears on the surface to be a good away to keep track of your files. If you insert a 4 GB flash drive and check it in a month, or use it before that, do you find any substance to what I was told about it?

File History.
Hi, I've turned File History on using the default setting & requesting daily updates. I've selected my External Drive and all is working as it should. However the bit I can't grasp concerns the method of back-up. Is it incremental or a complete new back-up each day? Secondly, I've allowed the...
