Has anyone tested the Windows 8 System Repair Disc described in How to Create a "System Repair Disc" (CD/DVD) in Windows 8? Here's what happened when I restarted my Windows 8 laptop with that CD in the optical drive:
The disc started to spin and I saw the message "Press any key to boot from CD or DVD..." I pressed the space bar. The disc was apparently being read. Then after a minute or two, the computer restarted and again I saw ""Press any key to boot from CD or DVD..." and again I pressed the space bar and again the disc was read and then my computer rebooted again and...this repeated several times until I finally gave up and let the computer boot normally.
Yes, the BIOS is configured to boot from the optical drive first.
Makes no difference which key I press - space bar or any other key.
I tested this disc on the same computer I used to make the disc.
Any suggestions on how to make this system repair disc work?
