Hi all I need some help here I tried to do a recovery with Windows 8 but now I have an error message when I start up my computer it says Lenovo Service partition has been destroyed when I click on the okay button after that it tells me it cannot find script file
X:\onekey\main\lrscall.vbs
After I click okay to that prompt, the Computer just continues to reset and display the same messages I called tech support or customer support for the company Lenovo they are shipping to me a recovery disk which they say I can follow the instructions on the disc that should help the problem they state that the hard drive is corrupt and that this disc will help resolve the problem is this true? I Have a copy of Windows 8 on disk but when I try to put that into the drive and do a install or recover using that disk nothing happens I get the same error messages likewise with the recovery disks that I made they don't work either the rep stated that I could have made the disk recovery disk corrupt also.
Can anyone offer me any tips or instructions on what to do please? This pc is only a month old, and I find it hard to believe that the hard drive is bad. I have never had issues like this before windows 8 :( thanks!

Ask Lenevo support, how to change boot options.

Only if you can assure that your default boot device is your DVD drive.

If your system defaults to your internal HDD as the first boot device, then you'll
ALWAYS get that error message no matter what DVD is in the drive.

Because the computer never gets a chance to read it :(

Ahh, ok so I need to go into bios and startup I take it, and it says boot mode set to auto, boot priority says UEFI first. But when I use the arrow down keys, it won't let me change the priority, it's black instead of blue. Can you tell me how to change it please? Thank you, you have all been so helpful thus far. :)

We always assume you have made your Recovery Disks using the OEM manufacturer's Recovery Media Creator app the first day you had your new PC.
& made the Startup Repair CD.

Did you make the OEM manufacturer's Recovery Disks?

Check out chapter 3 in this manual:

You can order OEM Recovery disks from your OEM manufacturer's website.

Hi, yes I actually made 2 copies of recovery discs the day after I got the pc(dated them, this is how I know). I just got in the mail 6 Lenovo recovery discs..of course the pc is not responding to them so will call tech support to find out how to change boot options I guess. :) hope this gets resolved with them. Will look at that chapter in your link too, thanks!

Well, not sure how to get to the screen you show, but in the bios setup utility screen, Boot Priority says UEFI first and is blacked out and doesn't give me an option to change it :(
