How to increase icon cache in windows 8 ?

How to increase thumbnail cache in windows 8 ?

Is there a way to increase the icon cache so that explorer could display folders more quickly. Currently, explorer tries to re-read folders and it slows down browsing folders . Any idea ?

Try Jonathan's solution but it is for windows 7, it may work.

It is interesting to see that windows 8 explorer often deletes thumbnail cache and therefore makes it difficult to browse folders with a lot of thumbnails enabled.
