Ever had this happen?
You spend 30 minutes or longer downloading a program or file or whatever only to get to where it has finished downloading,,so,, it should just save to your system,,right?
But after all that time waiting & after using all of that bandwidth,, at the very last minute it just won't save at all & brings up the error:
-The publisher could not be verified- or -Invalid Digital Signature- & then it doesn't give you the option to override the warning & then it just closes.

Man O' Man this one thing was driving me Crazy more than anything else in the first week of running win 8, I felt like throwing this OS in the trash.
I tried lowering security levels & un-checking boxes here & there in the internet options & I even ventured into the group policy editor (on the advice of quite a few online sites) & changed some security settings in there but it made no difference, no matter what I did it still kept on happening.

Anyway,, if you ever get those errors & IE gives you no choice to override them like was happening to me, do this: (NOTE: The download will still halt at the end & give same errors but it will also give you the option to override the warning & actually save the download to your system).

1. Click "Start" > "Control Panel" > "Network and Internet Options" > "Internet Options".
2. Click the "Advanced" tab and scroll down to the "Security" section.
3. Check "Allow software to run or install even if the signature is invalid".
4. Click "Apply" and then "OK".
5. Restart your download & at the end of it you should now have the option to click "Save", "Run" or "Open" the download.
Some will argue that doing this is a security risk, So if you also think this then don't do it! Simple.

But if you want to be able make your own decisions on whether to trust what you have just downloaded, this gives you that choice...It can't be all that bad otherwise why would they give you the option to tun it off?

Well it worked for me anyway.
