MSI GT70 laptop battery usage more than windows 7.

Hi, I just upgraded my laptop to windows 8 and somehow the battery usage is significantly higher. I noticed this do to the fact that I have a gadget that tells me what my battery usage it used to be down in the 20wh but now its like 35wh. Whats going on? I thought windows 8 was supposed to have better battery life?

Are you running lots of apps in the start screen? Live tiles?

All these updating in the background would do this.

A laptop running windows 8 has a slightly longer battery life compared to windows 7.

check in taskmgr if any process is using larger resources(disk,memory)..Running more apps at a times consumes greater power..

Was any maintenance task being run at that time?

Well I did check task manager and killed all the apps that are running high or that I don't need and its Still bad
