The Windows Search service terminated with the following error: Access

I get the following error The Windows Search service terminated with the following error: Access is denied.

in the event viewer and also, the metro interface freezes when i try to search something and clicking onto files, i get this event viewer error at the same time. Why is this?

As I said in another post. Your Metro screen freezes because you turned off UAC. Metro doesn't work without UAC enabled.

As for the search error, it's probably hitting a folder that you have removed SERVICE account access to. Does the error say what folder it's referring to?
