System restore many times lower than win 7 at every stage.

Although it eventually gets there even setting a restore point takes well over a minute , very slow compared to Win 7. I'm using it a bit while I gradually reinstall various programs and have needed to do a restore twice, both times it took at least 5 minutes to get to the reboot stage.

I'm not grouching, it works, but is it typical for Win 8 compared to Win 7, for instance.?
