Windows 8 and RAM issue

Hi,

I have 8 gigs of RAM and Windows 8 Pro says only 3.25 gigs are usable. How can I correct this?

32 bit windows doesn't support more. you must install 64 bit.

32 bit can handle(address) only 4GB of RAM where as the 64bit can address large amounts of RAM(4GB+)..So installing 64 bit OS will solve your issue.

I'll do this instead: I'll remove the windows 8 from my present PC and install it in my old Acer laptop that has 3 gigs of ram in it. Would there be any problems regarding the product key?
