Local Service(no impersonation) use 90% CPU usage

I have just had the same problem. I had great problems with ripping a CD. The machine went to sleep and after waking up WMP took a very long time to rip a song maybe 30-45mins. I did a restart and WMP ripped 5 song just fine maybe 15 sec each then went back to real slow and I noticed the Local Service (no impersonation) was using 91 % of the CPU. This looks like another Win 8 problem.
Has anyone any thought how to fix this. WMP 12 seems to have lots of bugs in Windows 8. I hope a fix is coming soon.
Cheers
Dave

It's just happen when add a lot of music to WMP...is it normal?
Not sure but it could be just adding info and indexing your music as you add them to the WMP library.

Temporary solution

I found a temporary solution that works on my windows 8 computer:
1) open tack manager and click more details
2) find the local service no impersonation
3) right click on it and select "go to details"
4) right click on "svchost.exe" and select "go to service(s)"
5) now right click upnphost and select restart

this will restart the service reducing the cpu usage to none or close to none
hope this helps

Or just use a third party program for ripping. I have a distinct feeling that MS included applets like that for "emergency use only" otherwise they would have them have more and better settings.
