Windows 8 compatible defrag software for mechanical hdds?

I used ultimatedefrag for windows 7 but now I don't know if there is any windows 8 compatible defrag software?
Is the built-in defrag in windows 8 good enough? I personally liked ultimatedefrag but I didn't install it to avoid any harm to the operating system.

I haven't used anything but the built in since the days of xp. I think defragging is generally overrated.

I am using built-in defrag for now. It works effective.

After saying Ultimate Defrag worked perfectly I found that the boot time defrag does not work - I have only been using W8 for < a week.
I think the onboard defrag is fine, but there is an awful lot of stuff in Photoshop that is rarely used and I like to push that to the back of the drive, and the on board defrag just cannot do that

Both on board disk check and defrag seem to keep a pretty good eye on the system all the time - whenever I ask for a disk check, I get told one isn't needed. If I press the point, the check gets done there and then without the usual (w7) reboot.

I can't remember the last time I defragment one of my HD , with the new NTFS it's not like the time of the fat.
