Welcome to the forum,

That link goes to a retired tutorial, I'm not sure why though.

I'll ask the author to have a look at your post.

Hello DBag, and welcome to Eight Forums. :)

The tutorial was retired since the shortcut no longer worked.

Where did you get the link to the tutorial from? I'll see about getting it removed.

Thanks for your responses!

The link I followed is on this page, in a post by Brink:

http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/5355-airplane-mode-turn-off-windows-8-a-4.html

Sad to hear this is no longer available. I've had my tablets for about 2 1/2 years now and mostly have their demons worked out, but a recurring irritation is finding the battery drained after a day in connected standby. My intent is to find a way to schedule airplane mode to engage on log off, then disengage on log in. With no internet connection, the battery lasts a far longer time in standby mode, but I often forget to do the 20 or so swipes and taps it takes to manually set airplane mode.

Any chance those scripts are still available somewhere?
