Random Local Area connections appearing

Hello,
Im new to this forum, i have tried searching this problem but not been able to solve it. I am running windows 8 on a Lenova pro 2 yoga laptop. I connect to my internet via wifi but i have noticed the past 6 months in my 'network and sharing centre' i can see my wifi as private network but there is also a section below that says unidentified network as public network which has lots of local area connections. I have gone into 'change adapter settings' but after restarting my laptop, they appear up again. (screenshot attached)


I don't know how or why it's happening, any help would be appreciated.
