Password Protected Sharing turning on by itself.

Windows 8 computer, webroot secure anywhere antivirus.
Password protected sharing is off. With no interaction, turns on.
Has happened a couple of times, not certain of the cause.
Anyone else had this happened and what fix was applied?

You stated in your post why it is being reactivated. That is the purpose of security software.

I did not state why, I have no idea why password protection sharing is being turned on. That is the reason for my post.

Either your live profile got messed ip, or your Internet Security software is doing it as I mentioned before.

It is your computer, I have no means to physically look at it. You are going to have to look and find out what ia triggering that.

It can happen when going from a Private/home network, to a Public Network.

You could try a different anti-virus or use Windows Defender that comes with Windows 8.1, see if that solves the problem. If yes see if there is a setting in Webroot that you can turn off or on to resolve this.
