Solved How to resolve Unidentified network

Please help. Recently I have lost my LAN connection on my PC. Since then I have had to go out and purchase a wireless network adapter just to get my computer to connect to the internet. I have tried everything with no luck.
1. Updated network adapter driver [Current driver installed]
2. Disabled / enabled network adapter.
3. Ran IPCONFIG /Release - IPCONFIG /Renew
4. Updated BIOS
5. Reloaded Intel Chipset drivers
6. Reloaded LAN drivers
7. Reinstalled Windows 8.1

No luck.

Swapped out the Ethernet cable with a new one to rule out a possible cable issue. No luck.

Your Ethernet adapter has an IP address from the Automatic Private IP Addressing (APIPA) range. This indicates that your computer can't access your DHCP server. Perhaps you can manually configure your IP address?
