I bought a Medion Laptop 5 months ago running Windows 8.1 with no problems at all.
I hadn't got it switched on for a couple of weeks until Sunday past.
But I could not connect to the internet. It said I had limited access to the net but I have none at all.
I reverted back to factory settings not once but twice but still the same problem.Switched the router on and off numerous times.Every other internet based appliance in the house is working perfectly.I took it down to a friends house and connected first time.I know this is a Windows 8.1 problem as I have trawled through the internet seeking a solution.Every conceivable solution I have seen, ihave tried but with no luck.
Can anyone at all help me .Getting desperate now.

"Limited" access usually means you can connect to an internal network (LAN) but not the an external network (a WAN i.e. Internet).

You can go to the Control Panel >Network & Sharing Center. Does it show the map with a "red X" before the Internet icon?
If so, click on it and let the troubleshooter start.
Maybe you need to use the "Connect to a Network" setup choice.
Are you trying to connect only by Wi-Fi, or did you also try with Ethernet cable connected to laptop?

Could you post a screenshot of the following command
ipconfig /all

It would also help if you could also post a screenshot from one of your computers that has a working connection,

If your not sure how to post a screenshot their is a tutorial here

It might be easier for you post one of these way's
ipconfig /all > ipconfig.txt
This will create a text file on your C: drive called ipconfig.txt and you could copy and paste the results into your post

ipconfig /all | clip
This will copy the output to the clipboard and when you answer just paste it to the forum
