Win8 + Win7 network- destination folder access denied

I have a Win 7 Pro and a Win 8.1 Pro and an XP computer all on the same wired home network. I want to do simple file sharing like copy, move, delete, rename, replace. This has been just fine with my Win 7 and XP computer for many years, but when I recently got a Win 8 computer, I started having lots of network problems with the simplest types of file sharing.

I can do anything with the XP computer, receive or send files to the Win 7 or Win 8. But I get this error when trying to copy a file from Win 8 to Win 7 or copy from Win 7 to Win 8

destination folder access denied - you need permission to perform this action

Sitting at the Win 7 computer I can select a mapped HD from the Win 8 and successfully copy a file from Win 8 to Win 7. But I canít copy a file from Win 7 to Win 8

Sitting at the Win 8 computer I can select a mapped HD from the Win 7 and successfully copy a file from Win 7 to Win 8. But I canít copy a file from Win 8 to Win 7 In each of these situations I can only copy, I canít move, delete, etc.

Remote desktop works fine with all 3 computers. I've worked for hours on a solution on Google and have tried some things like choosing properties for my boot and data HDs and giving full control to everything in the list.

Before I even started this process I had UAC set to minimum on both computer and now have even used a regedit on both computers to disable UAC. Nothing works.

With Win 7 I felt that SevenForums was the best, so I assume EightForums is the same great bunch of people. I've searched this forum and haven't found a solution yet. Please help I know some great people are out there.

    WinVista, Win7, Win8.1, Win10, Mac OS X 10.10, Linux Mint 17.1

Most folks may not want to hear this but having a mixed network I went the simplest way although it cost about $150 when I did it. I have 3 different versions of Windows [Win7, Win8.1, Win10TB] on 3 Desktops wired to my Router and 8-port Switch and can add a 4th [Vista] plus I have a wired Linux Desktop. I have an HP Officejet and an HP Laserjet connected via cable to the Router. A 'biggie' is the NAS/Network Attached Storage drive, 1TB, and all computers can have read and write access. My wife and I also use Wi-Fi connected Notebooks, mine are Windows, Linux and a MacBook Pro, hers is Win8.1. Any computer I install the printer software on can use the printers, she loves the Officejet for printing recipes.

Having the NAS has made a big difference in what I do, especially with downloads, as I am not continually having to futz with Network settings, just map the Public Folder on the NAS.

right click each HD on all computers in network, choose sharing / advanced sharing / permissions
    group name - everyone
    check full control
Complete file sharing now between XP, Win 7 and Win 8. No need to mess with HomeGroups
