Crashing Internet, Comes and Goes

After recently getting my computer back from repairs for an unrelated issue I find it has been giving me a lot of trouble with the wifi. My internet seems to come in ebbs and flows and frequently crashes. One minute I can be on a Skype call and the next moment the Internet has tanked and won't return for another hour. It seems to be random, and I am sure it is not a network issue. There are other devices in the house which work perfectly. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

[I will add more information as I am able to run the program under the network posting tips.]

try dual booting windows 7 with your current windows 8.1

and try connecting (in windows 7)

if this did nothing that means this is a hardware problem
