How to for DDNS dd-wrt and USB drive

Hi, I have a Belkin router with dd-wrt "big" and set up with DDNS Host name. So far I can access the router firmware from outside the home network using...

The router has a USB port with a Flash drive I am using for data storage for all PCs on the network and that's working fine internally.

How do I use the DDNS Host name to then access the USB drive? I looked at port forwarding, but the router gateway IP address is the same one Windows uses internally to access the USB-drive. Not sure how to go about forwarding that.

    Any help greatly appreciated.

You first need to disable outside admin access to the router. DD-WRT still has a bug in it, that allows intrusion access to the firmware, when remote access is enabled.

As for your question, you would be better off asking over at the DD-WRT forums.

Thanks, but I have tried the dd-wrt forums and I was ignored worse than my wife ignores me.

It seems that unless one has a technical question or a bug, the dd-wrt people are way too important to bother with the trivia of explaining how to do stuff.

Great router firmware, but a bunch of ill-mannered, elitist arrogant snobs.
