How to include networked library folder in File History.

So what I'm trying to do is include a networked folder in my File History backup. I used mklink /d "LINK" "TARGET" to create a directory symbolic link on my computer to the computer with the desired folder. All was successful but when I try to backup the Library in File History, it just skips right over it. Do the files have to physically be on the hard drive to be backed up with File History or does a pointer to another computer's folder not work?

That is correct that it does not touch Libraries. It is only used to back up immediate user settings. If you wish to backup files, you need to get a NAS and use a backup program to do that.
