For the past few months, my Lenovo G505 computer (running windows 8.1) has been telling me that its wifi connection is "limited". It used to work well on the wifi (same router) and I have restarted the router several times, but to no prevail. The wifi problem is only for my two private wifi connections, and the computer can work fine on any other wifi. I do not know how to fix this, or where to begin, and would prefer not changing my computer's os to something lower such as windows 8. Please comment if you know how I should fix this.

Usually is a router that is causing the limited issue, not the computer.

I have actually solved the problem (temporarily at worst). It was due to Microsoft automatically installing a driver that was incompatable with my WiFi router. I fixed the problem by doing a computer search for Device Manager, and going down to Network Adapters. If you click the arrow next to network adapters, it should open a list of network adapters beneath it. I then right clicked the first option (which happened to be "Broadcom 802.11n Network Adapter") and clicked Update Driver Software. Then I clicked Browse my computer for driver software, Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer, and then I selected one of the options there. This worked for me. Try selecting all of the different options if the first does not work. It updated my WiFi connection immediatley. However, this error does sometimes reappear when the computer is manually rebooted. Hope this helps.
