Solved Work group windows 8.1 and windows 7

Heloo,

Im put windows 8.1 and win7 i samo workgroup and it works i they see each other, but problem is i cant document, song, and pictures copy from 7 to 8 and from 8 to 7 it said: you need permissionto perform this action . pic is below. when i created work group on both computers i alow all to share doc pic music printer. what have i missed ?

yap.. not helped, i cant understand widonws help why should i right clik on some files and than share if i have 2 computers working in workgoruop, i they see each other.

Because ... having the same Workgroup is NOT enough. You have to implement the sharing options indicated in the linked thread.

lol btw when u cr8 workgroup on 1 comp if other is connected to same network, he offer you to join to same "WORKGROUP"that is 100% not my problem i check everything on tutorial.

Make sure the workgroup is named "WORKGROUP" if you are going to use standard network sharing. Then in Security permissions for the folders you want to share, you have to change to "Everyone". You can get more info from EZLAN.NET for Windows networking.

Just did this. Made my Win7 share - You may have to explicitly right-mouse click on the folder you are sharing, then in the context menu click on Share With.

If that doesn't work, make sure that all of your firewall programs allow homegroup networking. To see if this is the problem, shut off your firewalls completely, then retry.
