I recently bought a new ACER laptop and I connect to the internet with a Ethernet cable and at specifically 1am I completely lose internet connection. When I open up my browser it's say it has timed out or something. But when I use my other devices such as my iPad and phone on the wifi it works fine. Any help would be great, thanks.

There are time limit setting in the router and family safty setting in control panel

I would try resetting the router first and make sure you are logged in with an admin accout

ok but i don't want to reset the router as it is a pain to enter the passwords again on every single device.

ISP taking their system down for maintenance. All ISP's use midnight to aprx 5 am as their maintenance hours. Usually it is just a few minutes if they are doing something minor. If major like hardware change outs, or software updates, it can be down for a while.

I would contact your ISP to see if they are doing maintenance at that time. They can also look at the logs for your modem on their end, to see if it is just a signal issue.
