Solved Why is my machine always connected to Microsoft?

Yesterday I noticed that my machine always has one to two connections to Microsoft. From the searching I've done so far I think it may have something to do with Microsoft Windows Push Notification Services or MS onedrive. I thought that I completely disabled one drive and all apps yet I still see a constant connection? I have run wireshark and it's not burning up bandwidth it's just constantly connected and to be honest I really don't like that. Would really like to find out how to stop the connection(s), none of my other win 7 machines do this.

Any help would really be appreciated.

If you use a Windows Live account to login, it will stay connected to Microsoft's servers, to keep your roaming profile always updated.

It will still stay connected to the Live servers even with a Local account. Especially if you have apps always updating on the Start/Metro screen. Along with checking for updates for Windows Defender, software updates, etc..

You are never disconnected from Big Brother, unless you never connect the machine to a network connection that allows Internet.

Tell me about it. People tend to get upset when the OS or device manufacturer keeps a connection between your device or OS, when online or on a network.
